A JOINT police and fire service investigation is today underway into a major fire on an industrial estate at Warrington over the weekend.
The blaze started late on Saturday night and continued into yesterday morning at industrial premises in Bridge Lane, Woolston.
It is believed to have been an arson attack.
Ten fire engines from as far away as Sandbach, Northwich, Crewe and Holmes Chapel were called to the scene.
The blaze involved a large number of wood3en pallets.
Fire crews used three main jets and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire from both sides.
A fork lift truck was used to move pallets and others were moved by hand.
The fire was still burning at 9am yesterday morning.
Police were at the scene during the operation and it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
