WARRINGTON Police are urging members of the public to come forward with information and footage after several windows were smashed in a baseball bat attack at an address in Great Sankey on Monday night.

The incident took place at around midnight on Monday 25 June a ground floor window was smashed at a house in Chicago Place, Great Sankey, as the occupants slept inside. All of the windows of a car parked in the driveway were also smashed.

A muscular male carrying a baseball bat was seen fleeing the scene in the direction of Boston Boulevard.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or anything else that may help their investigation, to get in touch.

Officers also want to speak to anyone who believes they may know who smashed the windows or have CCTV or dashcam footage of them.

Inspector Arron Cooper, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “This was a terrifying incident that has understandably left the people who were inside the house extremely shaken up.

“They woke up to the sounds of their windows being smashed by a baseball bat.

“I would like to reassure residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident and we are determined to catch whoever smashed the windows and make them face the consequences of their actions.

“Enquiries are ongoing and as part of our investigation we are appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or anything else that may be relevant, to come forward.

“We also want to speak to anyone who believes they may know who was responsible for the criminal damage caused to the house and car.

“The same goes for anyone who thinks that they may have CCTV or dashcam footage of them.”
