AN argument in a chemist’s shop at Warrington led to a pensioner being assaulted outside.
The 69-year-old suffered an injury to his arm in the incident at Lloyd’s pharmacy, Penketh on Saturday, June 1.
Now police are seeking witnesses of the incident which occurred at about 3.15pm.
Detectives investigating an assault outside a pharmacy in Penketh are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
They say the incident started with a verbal altercation in the shop and continued outside when the 69-year-old was assaulted.
Detective Inspector John O’Driscoll said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen either two men having an altercation or anyone who assisted the man with the injured arm.
“I also believe there were people inside a dark coloured car, possibly an Audi, around the time of the incident who may have witnessed what happened. I would appeal to them to come forward with any information – no matter how small.”
