WARRINGTON’S award winning market took the opportunity to showcase their talent at The Royal Cheshire County Show this week.

Crowds flocked to the two day event on Tuesday and Wednesday which included a whole host of activities from live cooking demonstrations to monster trucks, with something for everyone on offer.

Warrington Market’s Young Market Trader of the Year Robert Leicester and his cousin Andrew Leicester of Andrews Fish and Game, who won Young Fishmonger of the Year in 2010, teamed up with celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager, best known for being an haute cuisine teacher on the reality television programme Ladette to Lady, and as a judge on Soapstar Superchef.
She also made an appearance on the reality TV series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

Earlier this year the market was declared Best Small Indoor Market in the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) competition which celebrates the best markets in the country.

Currently housed in a temporary market building Warrington Market is set to move to a permanent home next year as an integral part of the multi-million pound Time Square development.

Also in attendance passing on safety tips was Warrington PCSO Tony Spruce, who received the BEM in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours.
