Miss Aife Mullen is a teacher of modern foreign languages at the school and has been nominated for this year’s Pearson National Teaching Awards.
Head teacher Mrs Beverley Scott-Herron said: “We are extremely proud of her and how she is inspiring our students to have a love and passion for modern foreign languages.
“Miss Mullen will be teaching GCSE Spanish next year and it is the first time that Sir Thomas Boteler Church of England High School will have had the capacity to offer two languages at GCSE. Bien Hecho señorita Mullen.”
