A SEVEN-year-old Warrington girl has completed a triathlon and raised a whopping £435 for the Warrington Women’s Aid charity.
Sophie Partington, from Great Sankey, a pupil at Barrow Hall Primary School, swam in open water, cycled and ran to complete her triathlon – the first she has ever attempted.
She said: “I want to raise some money for Warrington Women’s Aid because women can be strong and do anything.”
Her proud Mum, Liz, said: “I think she struggled a bit to complete her triathlon, but she wouldn’t give up.”
Warrington Women’s Aid provides accommodation, support and recovery for adult and child victims of domestic abuse.
It’s not too late to contribute to Sophie’s fund.
