Rubbish fire at risk of getting out of control

TWO fire engines were sent to Windmill Avenue, Appleton after a rubbish fire was reported.
Crews found an area of refuse about three metres square was well alight.
It was decided there was a risk of the blaze getting out of control as there were some cooking oil cannisters nearby.
One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and the area was made safe before the crews, from warrington and Runcorn, left the scene.
