Fire crews battle to extinguish garage blaze

FIRE crews fought for nearly two hours to extinguish a blaze involving a garage at Orford, Warrington.
The fire in Tomlinson Avenue was around 3.30pmyesteday and firefighters from Warrington and Penketh were deployed.
On arrival the team discovered that a garage containing a motorbike was well alight.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Crews then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
One casualty was suffering from minor smoke inhalation and was provided with oxygen therapy at the scene.
