AWARD-winning Private Eye cartoonist Tony Husband will be appearing at a weekend event at Glazebury near Warrington – dedicated to all things BBQ, beer and wine!
Tony will be at the event at Bent’s Garden and Home on Saturday June 15 with his “cartoon confessional area” where visitors can have their “confession” made into a personalised cartoon for a minimal charge.
This has been brought about by Bents sponsoring an exciting new wine competition, People’s Choice Wine Awards, based in the North West. They were proud sponsors of the One Man and His BBQ category, won by Wakefield Wine with their St Andrew’s Shiraz.
VIP guests will get to meet Tony, try the winning wine for free and buy a bottle to take home from the amazing on-site independent wine merchants Reserve Wines.
Managing director Matthew Bent said “We stock a huge range of top-quality barbeques too, so support of this category seemed like a natural fit. Our customers appreciate a nice bottle and anything to make that buying decision easier for them is a great thing!”
