Raiders smash their way into house through patio doors

DETECTIVES at Warrington today issued an appeal for witnesses following a burglary in which raiders smashed their way into a house through rear patio doors.
The burglary, in Boston Close, Culcheth, was sometime 12pm on Sunday May 26 and 1.30pm on Wednesday May 29.
Once inside the house, the offenders stole a number of items before fleeing the scene.
Detective Constable Maggie Cassidy said: “The investigation in relation to this incident is in its early stages and we are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may assist our enquires.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area or anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be relevant to our investigation.
“I’d also like to take this as an opportunity to ask residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
“Residents can also help us and themselves by making it as difficult as possible for criminals to break into their homes, sheds and outbuildings.”

  1. I have to wonder at such a long time frame for the burglary. I can only assume that the owners were away between those times. A check of their social media accounts would give any criminal information as to when they were away.

    The number of people who I see on facebook posting either when they are going on holiday or that they are already on holiday. An invitation for th eopernutistic thief.
