Armed men in raid on Warrington pub

FOUR men brandishing a machete and a hammer burst into a Warrington pub and threatened staff.
The raid was at The Maltings in Bewsey Farm Close, Westbrook late on Wednesday night.
Cash and alcohol was stolen by the men who then left the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident shortly after 11.20pm.
The offenders, all wearing black tracksuits and with hoods covering their faces, forced staff to open the tills and safe.
Detective Constable David Wynne, of Warrington CID, said: “Our investigation remains ongoing and as part of our enquiries I am keen to hear from anyone who might have information.
“If you saw a group of men acting suspiciously or were in the area and may have dash cam footage which could help with the investigation, do get in touch.
