Tickets set to go on sale for Lymm Festival

THE annual Lymm Festival is returning soon and it promises to be another great year with something for everyone with tickets set to go on sale on May 18.

This year organisers are delighted to welcome the remarkable explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes (pictured top right). Don’t miss this chance to see him talk about his fascinating life in an intimate venue.

Other headline events include Strictly’s Reverend Richard Coles with a light-hearted look at his journey from pop to pulpit and the Director of Jodrell Bank, Professor Michael Garrett, (pictured top left) on the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence and The Square Kilometre Array.

There will be plenty of new events this year, including the launch of a new, family orienteering course at Spud Wood, a Champagne Summer Lunch at Laskey Farm in aid of NSPCC, the Lymm Gorge Geology Trail, Lymm Rocks’ Festival Rock Drop and Lymm and Thelwall U3A presenting a range of creative activities for all interests.

During the Festival, there will also be an array of brilliant exhibitions to satisfy every artistic taste, including Lymm Artists’ Summer Exhibition, this year’s community collage Branching Out: A Starry Night and exhibitions by Paul Scates and Richard Cowley.

It all begins on June 20 with with the regular FoodFest which includes entertainment in the form of traditional Indian music and dancers, space and wizard shows for the kids and the Lymm Adivas.
