Injured man trapped in car

A MAN was trapped in a car after a two vehicle pile-up near Warrington last night.
Fire and rescue crews used specialist cutting gear to remove the roof of the car and extricate the injured man.
The crash was in Chester Road, Daresbury, shortly after 6pm. Two fire engines from Warrington and Runcorn went to the scene.
Police closed the road as emergency services worked at the scene.
The trapped man was released and handed over to paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Fire crews were at the scene for more than an hour.
