TALENTED singer Kerry Feeney wanted to hear more songs about people feeling good about themselves – so she wrote one.
It’s released today, titled Kerry Feeney – Baby Girl Know It – and the 22-year-old from Orford, Warrington, says it will be the first of many.
She said: “This song was both produced and written by me. I’m very proud of this being the first of many that’s ready to share!”
It is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and more.
But it has already been played on BBC Radio Merseyside.
Kerry said: “I wanted to hear more songs about people knowing their worth and feeling good in their own bodies just as they are, so I wrote one.
“The official music video will follow shortly and there are further releases scheduled throughout the year.
“There’s plans in place to release another single in May followed by an album in the summer.
Kerry grew up in Orford with her mother Carole and sister Sarah, Grandad Bill and Nanna Sheila.
She attended St Benedict’s Primary School, Cardinal Newman High School and Priestley College before going on to the University of Central Lancashire, where she received her degree in Music Theatre.
She lived in Lymm for a while where she still runs a yoga class and has many friends.
“I’ve always sang, I discovered my voice at two years old. I knew I was always going to be a singer who wrote her own songs, but It took me a long time to discover the right path into music for me.
“When I heard my song played for the first time on BBC Radio I felt proud and I felt like this must be God’s plan because everything seems to be just falling into place.
“I am so grateful for all the support I have received already and I am very excited to share more of my music”
