VIDEO: THE #LoveWarrington show team were given a special tour around Warrington’s much-loved Museum & Art Gallery – one of the first municipal museums in the UK.

Operations Manager, Mike Roberts, invited the team down to talk about the exhibitions, to spread the word and encourage more members of the community to pop in for a visit.

The Museum, which is free to visit, boasts 13 galleries and exhibitions, updated every three months or so, ranging from ancient Egyptian mummies and artefacts to modern and contemporary art.

Mike said, “We are very family friendly, and there is something for everyone”.

The Museum resides within the heart of Warrington, offering free Craft Activities every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm and an afternoon Craft session every Saturday 1pm to 3pm. So, with the Easter holidays approaching these activities are certainly something to be egg-cited about!

The Museum first opened in the mid-19th Century, which makes Warrington’s Museum the 3rd oldest municipal Museum across the UK!

Mike also explained, “Warrington Museum is right at the forefront and this is something for our town to be very proud of”.

You can travel through time, across the world and even get creative, so there is clearly much more at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery than meets the eye!
