Joe picks up Silver in English National Championships

WARRINGTON Athletic Club’s Joe Buckley picked up a Silver Medal in the English National Championships at Sutton Coldfield.
This followed his Bronze Medal in the Northern Under 17 Five Kilometres Road Championships a few weeks ago.
In a closely fought race, Joe, from Great Sankey, led at the final corner by a couple of strides from Scott Nutter (Barnsley) and Luke Vanoudtshoorn (Aldershot Farnham and District) but was unable to hold off the Barnsley runner who took  the title in 15 minutes 43 seconds.
Joe finished on 15 minutes 45 seconds and Vanoudtshoorn was third on 15 minutes 48 seconds.
