Police officer attacked after stopping car in Lymm

A POLICE officer was attacked after a car was stopped in the Lymm area during the night.
Officers stopped a car and the driver was allegedly abusive to them and then punched one officer.
During the incident, the offender was also alleged to have tried to dispose of a quantity of cannabis.
He was arrested on allegations of a breach of public order, driving while unfit through drugs, assaulting a police officer and possessing drugs.
