A PLAN to extend car parking at an office building within Birchwood Park has been given the green light by Warrington planning chiefs.
The scheme, submitted by Highways England,involves the removal of landscape buffer areas to enable the extension and reconfiguration of the car park on Birchwood Boulevard.
It also involves relocation of electric vehicle charging points and lighting columns.
Twelve trees will be lost, but planning officers say this is acceptable as they do not add to the visual amenity of the area.
