School to get new security fence

A NEW security fence can be built at a Warrington school following the granting of planning consent.
The scheme was approved by the borough’s development management committee after members heard it would prevent children from attempting to jump over an existing fence.
Woolston Brook School, in Green Lane, Fearnhead, has mature trees growing next to the existing fence and the committee was told children were climbing the trees and trying to jump the fence.
They were told the proposal would not result in the loss of any playing field space.
