Raising money for charity in memory of Holly

A RAFFLE is taking place to raise money for a charity which helped a Grappenhall girl during her last, tragic battle with cancer.

Holly Hamer was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma in December 2013. A talented artist, the 21-year-old turned her fight with the disease into inspiration for a remarkable collection of paintings and drawings, entitled “Looking from the Inside Out” which was displayed at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery. The works detailed how Holly dealt with aspects of her cancer journey.

At the same time, she was continuing with her education and completed her AS Level in Art.

During this difficult time she was supported by the Chris Lucas Trust, which helps children and young adults through research into Rhabdomyosarcoma and the search for a cure.

Now Holly’s close friend, Kerrie-Ann Wild, from Chapelford, is remembering her friend by raising money for the charity with a raffle with colour-coded tickets depending on what you would like to win.
