WARRINGTON’S Own Buses have been rated in the top 10 bus companies in England in the annual Transport Focus survey.
The municipal bus company scored 93 per cent for overall satisfaction with the bus journey.  Almost 50,000 people took part in the Autumn assessment.
Managing director Ben Wakerley said:  “Our Warrington based team work tirelessly to provide the best service possible and we are pleased that our customers have placed us in the top 10.
“We also recognise feedback regarding fares and value for money and have slashed several fares recently.  In April, we will go further and announce a new, reduced price weekly ticket.  We are also working on a proposal to trial further fares reductions this year”.
The company has a service change on April 28, which will see it connect to Widnes, Halton Lea, Ashton and provide a new, direct shopper bus from Warrington West to Westbrook and Gemini Retail Parks.
