Police officer assaulted as couple arrested following violent domestic dispute

A couple were arrested during the early hours of this morning as a police officer was assaulted during a violent domestic dispute in the Fairfield & Howley area of Warrington.

The incident took place at 0047 hours when officers attended a reported Domestic Incident in the Fairfield/Howley are. They came away with a male and female arrested for allegations of assault, criminal damage and an alleged Assault on Police.

Meanwhile earlier at 2115 hours a male was arrested in the Orford area for an alleged Domestic Assault in his female partner.

Then 2300 hours a male driver was arrested in the Fairfield/Howley area for allegations of Drink Driving, Fail to Stop and Fail to Report an Accident.

At 0220 hours, officers attended an incident in the Great Sankey area and arrested a male for alleged Affray, during this he allegedly kicked a police officer.

Then at 0250 hours a male was arrested for an allegation of Criminal Damage to a Taxi by jumping on the bonnet and kicking a mirror off.

Finally at 0614 hours a male was arrested on Bridge Street for an allegation of Sexual Touching against a female.
