Mini-bus ablaze at Lymm

FIREFIGHTERS were called to the car park at the M6 Lymm Services after fire broke out involving a nine-seater mini-bus.
The blaze, shortly after 8.30pm last night, was tackled by the vehicle’s owner, using an extinguisher and was out by the time a crew from Lymm fire station reached the scene.
But a firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to damp down the vehicle and make sure it was safe. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots.
Firefighters were at the scene for about half-an-hour and it is believed the fire was caused by an overheated catalytic converter.
