VIDEO:LYMM’S Town Crier Peter Powell took a trip down memory lane to help kick start the 20th anniversary celebrations of warrington-worldwide’s sister publication Lymm Life magazine.

After ringing in news of the special occasion Peter, who is also an independent councillor on Lymm Parish Council, talked about his memories over the past 20 years and the various events which take place in the village.

While many things have changed over the year, the general village centre remains pretty much the same, with the iconic Lymm Cross taking centrepiece. While a number of businesses have changed ownership or closed, others have survived the test of time.

The general appearance of the village centre has also improved thanks to the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers from Lymm in Bloom, who cleared and renovated the “sunken garden” and have ensured plenty of colour in the village centre with flower displays.

Peter featured on the very 1st issue of Lymm Life was was launched in April 1999 at the same time as www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk, which was the first independent daily online newspaper in the the UK.

Meanwhile any business which would like to feature in the 20th anniversary edition of Lymm Life, which is delivered to over 5,000 homes and businesses in the village please email info@lymmlife.co.uk
