FOUR fire engines were sent to the scene after fire broke on a jetty on the Manchester Ship Canal near Warrington.
The blaze was in Moore Lane, Moore yesterday afternoon and fire engines from Warrington, Stockton Heath, Runcorn and Chester were deployed.
A hose reel jet and a smaller jet were used to tackled the fire and water was pumped from the canal.
Once the fire was under control, crews used specialist tools to cut away part of the jetty.
They also damped down the area to make it safe.
