High school pupils spent half-term out-and-about in Europe

PUPILS from Warrington’s Birchwood High School were out and about in Europe during half-term – skiing in Austria and sightseeing and learning about the media in Prague.
The skiing trip involved a week  – including travel by coach – which started on the beginner slopes and graduated to more challenging slopes. There was also some mountain ascents and swimming as well as competitive games in the hotel of an evening.
Several resorts were sampled before the journey home in time for a weekend of rest before it was back to school.
The Year 11 media trip to Prague included sightseeing around the city and visits to film studios and Czech Radio to see why Prague is becoming an important centre in the media world.
Staff were full of praise for the behaviour of the pupils during the trips.
