Charity finds new home thanks to UBC Birchwood

ADULT charity Creating Adventures has a new home thanks to UBC’s Rutherford House in Warrington.

The Cheshire-based group was founded by Jenny Allcock in 2016 and enables adults with autism and learning disabilities to take part in the activities they enjoy, such as music, art, horticulture and sport.

For much of the charity’s early years, Jenny used a home office when she needed to take care of organisational tasks and back office work.

But after meeting UBC’s Sam Snelson by Diane Lomax at Cheshire Connect, Jenny was offered new office space.

Jenny said: “Samantha very kindly offered to support Creating Adventures by providing us with a gorgeous office at their Birchwood serviced offices at Rutherford House.

“I can’t tell you how fantastic this is. Working from home previously for 18 months was isolating so to come to a lovely, clean, friendly office space, which I can’t recommend highly enough, is just wonderful. The team are extremely helpful and a serviced office takes all the hassle away.

“This office means so much to us as it provides us with a professional base, a place for meeting with likeminded professionals, a place to raise awareness amongst the individuals and businesses in the area, and an address that gives Creating Adventures the professionalism we have so rightly worked hard for.”

UBC is delighted to donate office space to Creating Adventures as we recognise that having a head office in a business centre environment can do wonders for local networking and growth opportunities.

Furthermore, local group Colony Networking, a partner of UBC who will be holding networking events at Rutherford House in 2019, has also chosen to support Creating Adventures throughout 2019, which provides the charity with a fantastic opportunity to build their local network and raise awareness of their work.

Having started the year so well, Jenny and the team have wasted no time in planning a number of events throughout 2019.

These include an Inclusive Sport & Wellbeing Festival with Warrington Wolves Foundation, arts and craft sessions, a coffee social club for adults and carers, a Makaton Sign assisted Rock Choir, and a number of seasonal fairs and parties.

Keep up with all their upcoming events and find out more about Creating Adventures online at creatingadventures.co.uk.
