Planners approve “substantial” home extension

PLANS for a “substantial” extension on a semi-detached house have been given the green light by Warrington councillors – despite objections from neighbours
Members of the borough council’s development management committee approved the scheme in Denbury Avenue, Stockton Heath and officers claimed the extension, although substantial, would not have sufficient impact to justify refusal.
Six neighbours had objected on the grounds the extended property would be overbearing and would have an oppressive impact on neighbouring bungalows and gardens.
The scheme involves a two-storey side extension, a single-storey rear extension and a pitched roof on an existing outbuilding.
