Frightened horse rescued from pond

FIREFIGHTERS from Lymm were called out to rescue a frightened horse trapped in a pond at Hatton.
They entered the pond at Summer Lane wearing dry suits and used specialist equipment to get the panic-stricken animal out of the water yesterday
The horse was then handed over to its owner and a vet to be checked over.
It is not believed to have suffered any serious harm.
