Sharing the love in Warrington on Valentine’s Day

VIDEO: The #LoveWarrington Show team were out and about “sharing the love” in Warrington town centre on Valentine’s Day as local businesses entered into the spirit of the occasion.

Three years on from the launch of the #LoveWarrington group, which consists of local businesses giving up their time to promote the town, the team visited various premises on Sankey Street and around the town centre, handing out roses to those who had put on window displays sharing the love.

Co-presenter Gary Pemberton had previously contacted local businesses in the area near his Belvoir Sales & Lettings premises, encouraging them to follow his example and dress their shop windows for Valentine’s Day.

Many joined in the occasion and were presented with red roses as a thank you for their support in promoting the town in a positive way.

The whole event was captured live on video thanks to Matt Dempsey from In the Know Warrington.

Businesses who entered into the spirit of the occasion included Callaghan’s Hairdressing Salon, Entwhistle Green, Bridgfords, Greenhalgh’s and Shelly’s.

Tomorrow (Friday) the team will be visiting Sue Blythe at the Room at the Inn Project, to put the spotlight on the homeless issues in the town and exploring ways how the business community can help support those in need.
