Overturned vehicle on M6 southbound

An overturned vehicle on the M6 southbound at Winwick caused lengthy tailbacks this morning.

The incident took place between junction 22 Winwick and junction 21a at Croft and caused tailbacks to junction 25.

One person received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. A total of four vehicles were involved.

The incident took place at 7.10am and the road was re-opened about an hour later although delays continued throughout the busy rush hour period.
