Missing woman spotted apparently shopping in Manchester

POLICE investigating the disappearance of a woman from Warrington have released CCTV images of her apparently shopping in Manchester the day after she vanished. 

Louise Wilde, 40, from Stockton Heath, was last seen by her family on Friday January.25 and the CCTV image of her released today was captured in Manchester City Centre at around 12 noon the following day.

She is described as approximately 5’ 10” tall, of medium build with brown eyes and long black hair.

The images show her wearing a burgundy coat with a fur hood, black trousers and black trainers with a white sole. She is carrying a cream bag.

In addition to the Manchester sighting, officers have also been able to confirm that prior to travelling to the city Louise visited a supermarket in Northwich at around 9am the same day.

After leaving Manchester she was captured on CCTV at Chester railway station at around 9.30pm on Sunday.
Superintendent Laura Marler said: “Following our initial appeal we have received a number of sightings of Louise at locations across Cheshire and Manchester and indications suggest that she is using the railway network to travel across the region.

“While these sightings are positive, we remain extremely concerned about her welfare and extensive enquiries to locate her are ongoing.

“I ask anyone who believes they have seen someone fitting her description or knows where she is to get in touch.

“I also appeal directly to Louise that she makes contact with us – your family are concerned about you.”

Anyone with any information in relation to the whereabouts of Louise is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 305217.
