Walton woman’s tragic death no longer being treated as unexplained

THE tragic death of of Walton woman Emma Lewis at her home last July is no longer being treated as unexplained following a thorough investigation by police.

No further action is being taken against a 46-year-old man from Warrington who was arrested in connection with her death.

A file will be prepared for the coroner and an inquest will be held in due course.

Emma aged 44, sadly died at her home in Holly Hedge Lane, Walton, overnight on Thursday 26 July.

A statement released at the time by her parents said: “As a family we have been devastated by the tragic loss of our daughter.

“She was a wonderful mother, daughter and sister.”
