Warrington Wolves announce dual captaincy for new season

Warrington Wolves have announced a dual captaincy for the new season.

Current skipper Chris Hill will be joined by Jack Hughes in that role, with Kevin Brown retaining his position as vice-captain.

Talking about the reasoning behind the appointments head coach Steve Price said: “We feel it’s our best fit going forward. With Chris (Hill) not playing a full 80 minutes, and Kev (Brown) being the current vice-captain and doing a really good job looking after all our attacking structures, I felt that we needed a player who could support Chris in that role.

“As a stand-out performer in our pre-season, epitomising our standards and what we are trying to drive here at the club, there’s no better person than Jack Hughes to complement Chris and Kev.”
