POLICE are advising motorists to avoid Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, after a collision involving a lorry and a motor cyclist.
The road was closed in both directions between Gainsborough Road and Brian Bevan island.
Diversions are in place but police say traffic delays are inevitable.
The crash occurred near the Causeway pub.
The air ambulance attended at the scene and is understood to have airlifted the motor cyclist to hospital.
