DJ Chris Evans joined 350 other runners in his home town to take part in the annual Warrington Parkrun Christmas Day event.
Evans who grew up in Warrington, broadcast his final BBC Radio 2 show on Christmas Eve as he prepares to join Virgin Radio.
As a Parkrun fan he took part in the Warrington event happily posing for “selfies” with fans.
English Half Marathon event organiser Rob Griffiths is now hoping to persuade Evans to take part in his annual event next September.
Rob said: “This is the first time in a few years that I’ve not done the Christmas Day Parkrun but it is great to see so many people getting involved.
“It has become a tradition for many families.
“It was lovely to see Chris taking part in his home town parkrun. We’d love him to come back and take part in his hometown half marathon – so we invite Chris and his family to get involved next September.”
Chris was joined at the parkrun by lots of Santas and Elves, a T-Rex dinosaur and warrington-worldwide Editor Gary Skentelbery.
