Man receives serious injuries after pub altercation

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man received serious injuries after being assaulted in a Warrington pub last night, Sunday.

The incident took place at 9.40 pm at the Causeway Pub in Wilderspool Causeway between a 55-year-old man and another man. 

The victim received serious injuries and was taken to Warrington Hospital to be treated.

The offender is described as white, 6ft tall, heavy set with short dark hair. He was clean shaven and was wearing a beige check shirt. He was associating with a larger group of men prior to the incident.

DC Darren Burns said: “I would urge anyone with information to contact police so that we can find the person responsible.”
