WARRINGTON’S Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School has a budding photographer among its pupils – aged just 14.
Year nine pupil Jonah Holland won the school’s Christmas Card photography competition last year with a picture of St Elphins Parish Church.
This year, to encourage Jonah’s skill with the camera, graphic designer Alice Roberts and head of art Sam Joice commissioned Jonah to take the photo to be used on the school’s 2018 card.
He took photographs in various churches, both locally and further afield, going at lengths to capture an array of images.
The photograph that was chosen was taken at All Saints’ Church, in Daresbury.
Alice Roberts said: “Jonah has a good eye for detail and has captured a brilliant composition with great lighting; it really is a super photo.
“ Jonah could go far with his photography. Congratulations Jonah – and thank you!”
Jonah has been presented with a pack of his own cards!
