Residents evacuated from smoke-filled care home

RESIDENTS were evacuated from a care home at Warrington after a large amount of smoke was discovered in the building.
The incident was in Withycombe Road, Penketh last night.
Crews from Warrington and Penketh discovered the smoke was caused by a pan of milk left in a kitchen. They removed the pan from the building and cleared smoke using a ventilation unit.
No-one was hurt and crews were at the scene for an hour.
