Flat dweller overcome by smoke

THE occupant of a flat at Warrington was overcome by smoke after fire broke out in a bedroom this morning.
Paramedics dealt with the casualty as firefighters from Warrington and Birchwood dealt with the blaze in Quebec Road.
The fire broke out shortly after 10am and firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, tackled it with a hose reel jet before damping down the area.
It is believed the blaze was caused by an electrical heater in the bedroom of the ground floor flat.
In an earlier incident, fire crews from Lymm and Penketh went to Booths Hill Road, Lymm where a fire had broken out in a fuse box inside a property.
The blaze was out by the time crews reached the scene but a thermal imaging cameras was used to ensure no traces of the fire remained.
Crews were at the scene for about an hour.
