Woman driver arrested after chase with police

A WOMAN was arrested at Warrington today after an alleged chase with police after failing to stop after a road collision.
The chase is alleged to have started in the Manchester Road area after a vehicle failed to stop for police.
Police claim there was brief pursuit on Manchester Road during which the woman’s car was in collision with a stationary vehicle.
She then ran off on foot but was caught nearby.
The woman is being questioned on allegations of aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving without a licence, using a vehicle without insurance, failing to stop for police, failing to stop after a collision and obstructing the police.
