Firefighters called to smoke-filled house

FIREFIGHTERS were called out after reports of smoke issuing from a house at Penketh, near Warrington.
They found the smoke was coming from the cooker in the kitchen at the house in Oakmere Drive.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for signs of a fire and a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
The cooker was isolated and the occupier given safety advice.
