Farm fire leaves property smoke-logged

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning to deal with a serious chimney fire at a farm in Grappenhall, Warrington.
A crew from Lymm fire station arrived at the property in Canal Side to find a fire in the chimney was causing smoke logging inside the building.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet and extinguished the fire.
They then used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property and also checked the loft space with a thermal imaging camera to ensure the flames had not spread and the property was safe
