Life changing technology for people with diabetes

POTENTIALLY life-changing technology for people with diabetes is being developed at the Daresbury Laboratory, near Warrington.
A start-up company, Nanoflex, has created a completely non-invasive, wearable sensor, that measures glucose levels in real time, using miniscule amounts of sweat, instead of blood.
An important part of the technology is that the monitoring is continuous and in real time, day or night and does not rely on the wearer having to check their levels periodically.
The monitor then sends updates to a phone or smartwatch alerting the person of what action needs to be taken.
A spokesperson said: A working prototype has been developed here at the laboratory and expect to have a product on the market within three years.
