DETECTIVES investigating an attempted arson at Warrington are today urging witnesses to come forward with information.
At 6.20pm last night (Monday) two men, wearing dark tracksuits with their faces covered, poured petrol over a shop on Padgate Lane and tried to set it alight before running away.
Detective Constable Darren Burns, of Warrington CID, said: “While we follow a number of lines of enquiry I want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and could have seen two men acting suspiciously.
“It would have been quite busy at that time of the evening with people travelling along Padgate Lane therefore I would urge anyone with dashcam footage to also get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries/ IML 239563.
Motorists with dashcam footage should submit by following the instructions in this link https://www.cheshire.police.uk/advice-and-support/roads-and-vehicle-safety/submit-dashcam-footage/ making sure they quote IML 239563.
