WARRINGTON motorists faced gridlock again this morning after a van overturned on the M6.
Motorists faced delays of nearly two hours on the M6 after two lanes of the M6 were closed southbound between junction 21 at Woolston and junction 20 at Lymm, on Thelwall Viaduct.
There were reports of traffic queuing more than 12 miles back to junction 24 near Ashton.
All lanes have reopened.
The incident created gridlock on the A57 Manchester Road at Woolston and around Warrington town centre.
The van overturned at around 7am. Police say there were no injuries.
