A MOVING Remembrance Assembly was held at Croft CE Primary School, Warrington – the culmination of commemorations for the centenary of World War 1.
Artefacts from both World Wars were on display, provided by parents and loaned by the Fiddle ’it’ Bag public house at Burtonwood.
Headteacher Anne Mains said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support with this project.
“A huge well done to our children for also making some beautiful poppies which are currently surrounding our WW1 Tommy.”
Mrs Mains also thanked Office Bridge Supplies for providing materials free of charge and Bedford Fabrics for providing material at a discounted price.
At the end of the assembly, Mrs Mains, some pupils and family members placed a poppy wreath at the Memorial at Croft Memorial Hall. A Remembrance Service will take place at Christ Church Croft tomorrow (Sunday) at 10.45am.
