TWO people were taken to Warrington Hospital following a two vehicle collision at Stretton earlier today.

Firefighters, police and paramedics attended at the scene on Tarproley Road to rescue a person trapped in one of the vehicles following the collision between a van and a car at around 9.25am.

The road was closed by the police in both directions as emergency services worked at the scene.

Fire crews also made the vehicles safe.

They were in attendance for around an hour-and-a-half.
