Dreamshakes providing hot drinks to the homeless

As temperatures plummeted and Warrington had the first frosts of the year, kind hearted Paul Moran of Dreamshakes came up with a way to help the town’s homeless stay warm.

Dreamshakes, located in Warrington Market, have set up a scheme which lets people using the cafe to donate £1 which is put towards buying hot drinks for some of the town’s most unfortunate people. The scheme is already proving a success with drinks being served on a regular basis .

The idea has been given the seal of approval by Warrington’s Homeless charity, Room at the Inn, who also provide hot drinks and food daily.

Room at the Inn – The Y Project is the new charity which took over services from the old Warrington YMCA. They provide daytime services to homeless and vulnerable people and a 10 bedded night shelter. Their ethos is to help people to access the services they need to go forward with their lives. Dedicated staff and volunteers support people through very difficult times and help them to find a better future.

Now shoppers can enjoy a lovely brew in the ever popular Warrington Market food court and do their good deed for the day.
