GRAPPENHALL and Thelwall came third in this year’s Cheshire Community Pride competition in the section for villages with a population of 5,001 to 10,000.
Hatton also picked up a third place award in the category for villages with a populationof under 400.
Moore came fourth in the section for populations of 401 to 600 and Antrobus were fifth in the section for villages with a population of 601 to 1,000.
The winners were announced last night in a ceremony at Frodsham Community Centre.

Grappenhall and Thelwall might have got 1st prize if someone took the trouble to sort out the derelict old vicarage ‘building’ opposite the church!
